Participation in the CSCW 2025 conference in Bergen

The 28th ACM Conference on Computer Supported Cooperative Work and Social Computing (CSCW) took place in Bergen, Norway, from October 18-22, 2025. Stephanie Gabriela Arévalo Arboleda, Dr.-Ing. presented the paper "Robot, Avatar or Human: The Impact of Partner Representation and Task on the Communication Experience".

In the paper, we compared AR avatars to telepresence robots in different types of communication and found that each has its perks. We reflected on capitalizing each medium's strengths to provide satisfactory mediated communication experiences. Read the full paper here: https://doi.org/10.1145/375765.
