Kurzbiographie

Bevor Dr. Arévalo Arboleda zur RWTH Aachen kam, war sie Postdoktorandin in der Audiovisuellen Technologiegruppe an der TU Ilmenau. Sie promovierte an der Universität Duisburg-Essen, wo sie unter der Leitung von Prof. Jens Gerken, der derzeit die Gruppe für inklusive Mensch-Roboter-Interaktion an der TU Dortmund leitet, die Verwendung von Augmented Reality für die Mensch-Roboter-Interaktion untersuchte. Sie hat außerdem einen Master of Science in Mensch-Technik-Interaktion von der Universität Tampere in Finnland und einen MBA von der Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Ecuador, wo sie auch ihren Ingenieursabschluss in Informatik erworben hat. Ihr Hauptinteresse gilt dem Entwurf von Technologien aus einer menschenzentrierten Perspektive. Zu ihren weiteren Forschungsinteressen zählen Extended Reality, Mensch-Roboter-Interaktion, multimodale Interaktion, assistive Technologien, UX, Interaktionsdesign und empirische Methoden in der HCI.
