From March 3 to 5 2026, the Institute of Communications Engineering hosted the 6th workshop of the NeuroSensEar project. The event brought together researchers and early-career scientists from across the project and offered a forum for scientific presentations, interactive workshops, and the planning of joint research activities and future collaborations.

Alongside the professional exchange, personal interaction was also a key element of the workshop, further strengthening connections within the project network. A special highlight of the event was the three public lectures given by Prof. (ret.) Dr.-Ing. Dr. h. c. Rainer Waser, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Janina Fels, and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Peter Jax.

Funded by the Carl Zeiss Foundation, NeuroSensEar explores the processing mechanisms underlying auditory perception and aims to transfer principles of biological information processing to modern hearing aid technology in order to improve the long-term acceptance of hearing aids.
