IENT researchers participated in the 155th MPEG/JVET Meeting in Geneva, Switzerland, from July 7 to 17, 2026.
The focus of the JVET (WG5) meeting was on preparations for the upcoming Call for Proposals (CfP) for a new video standard. In WG7, MPEG Coding of 3D Graphics and Haptics (3DGH), a further dry run for the V-DMC verification tests was conducted jointly with AG5. Work also continued on preparations for a standard for coding 3D Gaussian splats.
